SUNDAY NOVEMBER 5, 2017, RETURN TO BASE

I was up early to finish packing and get ready to return to our Sar-El group.  Sidney and I found a taxi right away at the medical center across the street where there are always taxis waiting.  The driver didn't quite understand where we were going and dropped us off about a mile away.  Sidney went to Google Maps on his phone  we dragged our luggage to the Military Hostel in Tel Aviv where we, along with two other Sar-El groups had a presentation from two women from an organization called "Stand With Us", which has the purpose of countering all the lies about Israel that are perpetuated by many people and groups.

The following are pictures of me and my roommates and of the whole Sar-El group at this Air Force base.  This picture shows that we are clearly four guys who are way beyond the age for military service.

At 3PM we boarded a chartered bus back to our base.  We unpacked, rested a bit and went to dinner.  I was able to give away almost all of the cooling towels I brought.  There's a small gym here with state of the art machines and it was busy with soldiers after dinner.  Perfect recipients for the cooling towels.  At 7PM we had a program where our leader Sarah divided us into two teams and we played Jeopardy with the categories being:  Israeli Geography, Israeli Personalities, Israeli History and Israeli Culture.  I learned more than I knew and it was fun.  We had a long day and I got right to bed after the program.
